Hands down, the BEST place we have ever stayed!

My husband & I booked Trails End Ranch with 3 other couples for a 4th of July extravaganza and could not have been happier with our choice! We wanted to escape the summer heat & humidity of our hometown and Angel Fire, NM delivered with absolutely perfect weather - Sunny 70 degree days with crisp 50 degree evenings (excellent for stargazing & grilling out by the campfire). This home offered so many amenities that I can't even list them all: plenty of space for all 8 of us, comfortable bedding, private baths (we scored the master bath complete with soaking tub + spectacular view & steam shower), gourmet kitchen (which was fantastic since we wanted to eat in as much as possible), great room with fireplace (great for indulging our love of board games), and the VIEWS, oh the views (absolutely breathtaking from every angle inside & out!!). The owner was very pleasant to work with & provided tons of info about the surrounding area including a recommendation to check out the 4th of July parade in nearby Eagle Nest which was so much fun (even adults can enjoy the thrill of fireworks over the lake). On days when we weren't lounging, exploring, hiking, & riding four wheelers, the guys thoroughly enjoyed playing golf (the course is a few miles down the road & highly rated) & at their request the girls joined them for dinner at the Country Club which was amazing (the food, the service, the views!). If you are looking to 'beat the heat' in the summer then Angel Fire is the place for you and if you are looking for the BEST place to stay then look no further than Trails End Ranch. We hope to make this an annual trip, but if we can't rally the whole group to come back, my husband & I will come on our own for a Romantic Getaway. Did I mention the VIEWS?!?

Amazing Family Retreat!!!

Our new benchmark for Family Vacations!

We live in the heat of south Texas and we love winter activities. We take winter trips regularly, so we have stayed at hotels and condos before in other areas of New Mexico and Colorado. This time we traveled with our extended family and we all wanted to stay together for the holidays. We were lucky enough to find Karen's cabin available for the duration of our trip. She helped us through the entire booking process and stayed in touch with us during our stay.

In regards to the location, it is just Perfect! As we arrived, we immediately noticed that the cabin was located just far enough from the main roads to give you a true feeling of the great outdoors, but at the same time not far enough to make the trip to the slopes too long.

The cabin itself was incredible in and out! It was right on top of a hill so It not only has beautiful views of valleys and mountains all around, but it has large social areas where we spent our early mornings and evenings. Indoors, it is fully equipped with all amenities and entertainment (TVs, WiFi, BlueRay, Etc.), while outdoors it has large areas were you can hike, enjoy the mountain views, and if you are lucky enough, the local wildlife (Deer, Elk, Horse, Rabbit).

A pet friendly place was a must for us. Our Siberian Husky had a blast too! It was his first time in the snow. He can't wait to go back.

Karen's cabin helped us set a new goal for our family vacations. We loved it and we will definitely come back.

Thank you Karen.

Perfect is not strong enough of a word

A group of friends and I stayed here over the course of several nights. All totaled, we had 14 people in our group. The accommodations comfortably fit everyone. The decorations in the house always gave us something to look at and talk about. At night we would cook large meals to feed the entire group in the well stocked kitchen.

Angel Fire and nearby Taos provided us with plenty of sightseeing and adventures. I can honestly say that this was the perfect location for this trip. It was easily the most memorable and best vacation I have ever taken.

Karen made sure that we had everything that we needed and she was always available in case something did come up. Several of us are already talking about the next time we will be coming back and doing it all over again.

A word to the wise, if you are not acclimated to the elevation, be sure to drink plenty of water and take elevation pills. There is a hot-tub in the main house so be sure to monitor how much time you spend in there. A few minor precautions and there shouldn't be any issues.
